Trusting Elohim When Life Doesn't Make Sense

As we draw closer to Yeshua’s return the more this world does not make sense. The world calls evil good and good evil and to a believer in Messiah this surely does not make sense. Trusting Elohim in everything especially when your life has been turned upside down is an especially difficult task for some and easy for others depending on their understanding of who Elohim is.

This is why basic truths of Elohim need to be examined. None of us have a complete understanding of Elohim’s ways. I for one desire to understand Him more and more each day.

Romans 11:33 (NASB) 33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

Psalm 145:17-19 (NASB) 17  The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds. 18  The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. 19  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.

Elohim is big on trust or faith I believe we are not only to love Adonai with all our heart and all our soul and all our might, but we are to trust HIM in all HIS ways with all our heart, soul and might. Even if we don’t understand why?

Hebrews 11:6 (NASB) 6  And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

I have personally had failed to trust Adonai at crucial times in my life. Because I just couldn’t comprehend in my mind or in my heart why Elohim was allowing certain things to happen to me my family and friends I cared about. I have since repented of those times praying that the next time I will be faithful in trusting Elohim even when it does not make sense.

I believe we can suffer the consequence of our lack of trust in HIM I have seen the consequences in my own life and many biblical characters.

Elohim is sovereign and if he allows the enemy to come in like a flood he must have a purpose. Elohim is not evil. He has our good in mind.

Romans 8:26-32 (NASB) 26  In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27  and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28  And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29  For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30  and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. 31  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

Our life may be turned upside down like Job or we may be separated from our families like Joseph and Moses. In all of that we must trust Elohim for our good. Knowing he is sovereign. In the days ahead we as believers must stand firm in our trust that He is for us and not against us. Elohim might lead us to the Reed Sea and the enemy may have us trapped and it may look like there is no way out, but Elohim will part the waters at just the right time.

Our biggest mistake would be to react in fear. Fear is the opposite of faith. Reacting in fear can change your whole life. Fear can make what is already bad worse. Fear is sin!! Fear not for Adonai is with you. We need to know that He is with us as the Day of Adonai approaches.

Even our mistakes do not throw Elohim because he is aware of our mistakes before we make them. Praise Adonai His grace and mercy endures forever.

My prayer is that each and every one of us will learn from our mistakes. Because the days ahead are sure to stretch our faith. Many things are sure to happen that we may not understand.

So then we must stand and trust our Yeshua. Not wavering in our trust waiting on Him for His instruction not moving until we are told to move. Not speaking until we are told to speak. Praying always to walk in His ways not our own.

This kind of trust will bring us peace in the days ahead while the world seeks for peace and cannot find it. This is the peace we pray for Jerusalem that peace that goes beyond our understanding. That they trust in their Savior the Prince of Peace. In this trust we...

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

  • We need to trust Elohim to overcome!

Revelation 2:11 (NKJV) 11  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death." '

Revelation 2:17 (NKJV) 17  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it." '

Revelation 2:25-26 (NKJV) 25  But hold fast what you have till I come. 26  And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

Revelation 3:5 (NKJV) 5  He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:12-13 (NKJV) 12  He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. 13  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '

Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) 11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (NKJV) 1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2  For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3  By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

May we put our trust in HIM not only for our salvation but to overcome!
